Hmong American Day Celebration
Hmong American Day, observed annually on May 14, commemorates the profound history, culture, and contributions of Hmong Americans. This day specifically honors the Hmong and Lao veterans who served alongside the United States during the Vietnam War and the Secret War in Laos. On May 14, 1975, the last of the U.S. military personnel evacuated from Laos, marking a significant moment in the Hmong community's journey and their enduring legacy.
This free, public gathering honors the rich cultural heritage and contributions of the Hmong community. Attendees can enjoy a variety of food vendors offering traditional Hmong cuisine, explore booths featuring local artisans and community organizations, and experience live performances that showcase Hmong music and dance.
