Our Orgnization

For more than four decades, we have proudly served as a vital pillar within the Hmong community—advocating for the preservation of our cultural values and traditions while working to empower our people. Our efforts are rooted in partnerships with local businesses and organizations, united by the goal of safeguarding the Hmong’s rich history and heritage.

Originally established in 1982 in La Crosse, Wisconsin, as The Hmong Mutual Association Agency, we are now known as the Hmoob Cultural and Community Agency DBA Hmong Cultural and Community Center. Our mission began with a vision to create a welcoming space where Hmong individuals could unite in support of one another and our shared culture. Today, through cultural events, educational programs, and family-based traditions, we continue to nurture identity, inspire pride, and strengthen connections to our heritage.

As a people with ancestral roots in Southeast Asia and a strong presence in the U.S., preserving our cultural identity is key to both community strength and personal empowerment. While we remain dedicated to uplifting the Hmong community, our doors are open to individuals of all races, genders, and cultural backgrounds. Through the fusion of traditional values and modern experiences, we aim to build inclusive, resilient communities for all

“I drove past HCCC for years and finally attended a Hmong Education event in May 2024. I felt so welcomed. I have learned so much about the culture and the history of the Hmong people. Their service in helping the United States during the Vietnam war, and the everlasting impact of the Hmong people. Having had this cultural experienced has opened the door to many new things as well as making new friends. HCCC is not just an organization but is a group who bring others together and truly cares."
